Chapter 5

"Coo roo!" I heard a faint cry.

Please, a few more minutes.

"Coo Rooo!" screeched what sounded like Robin.

Ugh, why can't I ever sleep in when I want to? I wake up, to see Robin on the floor, flapping its wings while running around in circles.

"Coo Roo! Coo Roo!" Robin screeches in excitement

I sit up on my bead to let out a stretch and a yawn. Another new day in Alola, I look down at Robin and picked him up in held him in the air.

"You ready to start this day up?" I asked my partner Robin

"Cooroo!" Confirmed with excitement.

Robin flew to my shoulder, I tied my shoes, grabbed my bag and hat as we walked out of my room.  I didn't see my mom around the kitchen or the dinning room, but I noticed Meowth sitting by the door to the patio outside. I peek my head to see my mom taking in the sunlight of Alola. She was at ease, like as if she really did wait all these years just to admire and take in the atmosphere. I don't want to think that I was somewhat responsible, but I know that she's happy now.

"Hey mom." I said qietly.

"Oh (_______)! Good morning, or should I say afternoon!" my mom said with a cheer.

Afternoon? Afternoon! I slept in! I rush over to the door, remembering about the festival that Kahuna Hala said the town would throw for me.

"I'll see you later mom!" I shouted as I headed out the door.

"Okay sweety! Be safe!" She yelled back to me from the balcony.

I closed the door behind me, and I looked down the set of stairs to see Lillie with her bag.

"Hey Lillie!" I greeted Lillie with a smile.

"Oh! (______)! Ummm..." She said with shock as she tried hard to remember what else she may want to say to me.

"Professor Kukui said 'Go get (______) and bring'em to my lab, woo!' So here I am!" Lillie said with an almost uncertainty.

I hear the front door to my house open, I look over to see my mom walk over towards me.

"(________) here is some travel money, don't spend it all at once." She said as she handed me a coin purse filled with a couple hundred PokeYen.

"Thanks mom." I said as I put the small purse into my bag.

My mom looks over to Lillie and gives a gentle smile.

"Oh this must be your friend! I'm really glad for you to have met my sweet (______).

I blush out of embarrassment as I played off a chuckle.

"Oh yes ma'm, the pleasure was really mine" Lillie said with a shy smile

My mom walks back in the house and begin to follow Lillie to Professor Kukui's Lab. As we walked down the hill towards the beach I took a good look around to see trainers roaming abound the grass, embarking their own Pokemon battles. Some Pokemon I recognized, while some I didn't recognize. Trainers would smile and while battling wild Pokemon against their own.

"I'm not the biggest fan of Pokemon battles, I always get sad whenever I see Pokemon get hurt." Lillie said as we passed trainers in the middle of their battles.

Lillie sprayed, what my guess was repellent that prevented us being attacked by any wild Pokemon. We walk onto the sandy beach, but Lillie made a quick halt. She turns around to face me once more.

"I never told anyone this, but I know that Nebby, I mean Cosmog is a rare Pokemon that came from some where far away. There are some people who are after it, and I really want to help it return to its home." Lillie said with the utmost of determination.

Nebby was really a Pokemon called Cosmog. I look down at Lillies bag to see the zipper slightly open, and see two glowing yellow beady eyes stare at me. Lillie looks down at her back and zipped it shut. I heard what sounded like a 'pew' of utter defeat. Lillie turns her head up towards me again to continue her story.

"You have to promise me you won't tell anyone about Nebby! If anything ever happened to it, I'd never forgive myself." she sighed as she looked down at the ground with a sad expression.

"Lillie, I promise. I'll even help you with Nebby. It's the most that I can do." I said with a cheer and with a tilt of my head.

Lillie looked back up to me, she smiled and giggled.

"Thank you!" she said with gratitude.

We continued our walk, I looked over to my left towards the ocean. I paused, The sun was beginning to set, the light reflecting on the ripples of the water reminded me of home. Home. Here is my home now. I can't help but stare at the orange and yellow reflections of the sun face down on the ocean.

"Lillie, can you wait for me at the Professors? I kinda want to take in the atmosphere for a moment, please." I asked as I continued to look out into the sea.

Kukui's lab wasn't far, it was a quick jog away from where we stopped. Lillie looked back at me and at the ocean. She smiled.

"Yeah, I'll be waiting outside the lab until you come over." She said as she continued to walk towards the Lab.

I slowly walked a little more towards the ocean and gently sat down on the luke warm sand, smelling the salty air as chll breezes brush against my face. I reach into my bag and grabbed out my Pokeball to have Robin keep me company. The Pokeball opens, a ray of light shoots out, and I see Robin once again. He lands in my lap and looks up me confused. I point at the direction of the Sun set, Robin looks and lets out an amazed coo sound.

"Isn't it amazing Robin?" I asked as I admired the beauty of the view.

"Coooo..." Robin cooed in agreement.

We watched the waves move in and out on the beach. Ever since I could remember, looking at the light being reflected off of the water was something that I could never get tired of. It's peaceful, and was always admiring to look at. I close my eyes to take a good listen to the ocean, the rushing sounds of the waves push in and out. A warm and comfortable feeling surrounded me. It started in my heart and around my arms. I smile, my eyes still closed, wishing this could last forever.

"Pretty sight for eyes isn't it?" a rough, male ragged voice said behind me.

I froze, holding onto Robin tightly I dared not turn around to see who was talking. Robin looks up at me with a concerned expression. He looks over to my right to what my assumption was where the stranger was standing.

"I mean yeah, it's amazing." I said nervously

My heart raced, why am I too scared to turn around? Why can't I get up? I know I can but I just can't.

"Hmph, I wouldn't say that but it's a'ight" the voice said in modesty

I sat there in awkward silence, my heart pounding out of my chest. A heavy gust of wind blew up against my arm. Chills began to run across my body, and I start to shake. Robin felt the same as me as he tried to draw closer to me for warmth. I then felt something begin cover me, as it gently surrounded me, I started to feel warm again. It was a short sleeved sweat shirt that was over-sized for me to ever wear. It had a Egyptian Musk smell to it, it didn't really bother me but it was a strange smell.

"Keep it, I got a spare." he said as he help adjust the sweater around me.

I could feel his hands gently wrap around the sweat shirt around my shoulders. I close my eyes again, with my heart continuing to throb, and my face starting to heat up. I could feel the heat of his face next to mine as he wrapped the sweat shirt closer to me. No one has ever been so kind to give me something of theirs. He backed away, and I opened my eyes once again. I look down to see Robin had fallen asleep. I hear foot steps draw away from me, the stranger had began to make his leave.

"I'll see ya round, cherry blossom." he said as he walked away.

I took a deep breath and mustered my courage to stand up once again. I quickly pulled myself up, holding onto the sweat shirt and turned myself around. I saw a man in slacking black pants, white shoes, with a white tank top, and a crew cut hair cut with a large amount of his hair being white and silver. I starred at his toned muscles that molded his body while his arms were dug into the pockets of his pants. I wanted to say thank you, but it only felt like the air had escaped from out of my lungs. Cherry blossom? Why would he call me that? What was his name? I return Robin to his ball and started to continue my way towards Professor Kukui's Lab. I approached the side of the building and strolled around the corner to see Lillie sitting on the porch patiently waiting for my arrival. She looked up to see once again and quickly stood up.

"Did you enjoy the view?" Lillie asked with a smile

I hold on tightly to the over-sized sweat shirt close to me, the musky aroma remained around me as I begin to smile.

"I did!" I said cheerfully with a head tilt, blush to my face, and shut eyes.
